Test method : 100ml (10ppm concentration) of methylene blue solution with a 15x50mm size piece of Titanystar MI-X was prepared as one sample. An equal amount of methylene blue solution only was prepared as a control sample. Each sample was measured with a spectrophotometer. Graph 1 shows the effects of ultraviolet irradiation on Titanystar. Graph 2 shows the effects of simultaneous ultraviolet irradiation and ultrasonic waves on Titanystar. This test was performed at the Kyoto Prefectural Technology Center for Small and Medium Enterprises.
2.Anti-bacterial test with E. coli
Test method : A 15x50mm size piece of Titanystar MI-X was placed in a glass bottle with cap, together with 10ml of bacterial liquid. Another bottle was prepared containing only 10ml of bacterial liquid as a control sample. The number of bacteria in the liquid was then measured. Table 1 shows the effects of ultraviolet irradiation on Titanystar. Table 2 shows the effects of simultaneous ultraviolet irradiation and ultrasonic waves on Titanystar. This test was performed at the Kyoto Microbiological Research Laboratory.
